Kintsugi Restoration: Discussion Questions

1.     Encourage them to write a word or phrase on the pottery to represent the relational separations that came to mind for them in the last session.  This might require an initial time of silence for prayer consideration.

2.     As the ladies are mending their bowls, ask them to gently shift their attention to what they experienced in the breaking of the bowls. What thoughts came to mind? What emotions did they notice? What did they feel in their bodies?

3.     How do they experience the idea of “brokenness” in their life?  How do they imagine Jesus’ countenance, posture, tone toward them in their brokenness?

4.     What similarities of the Gospel and Kintsugi are meaningful to them?

5.     What part of their story has God drawn their attention toward in Session 2 and the Mending of the Bowls.

6.     What questions have surfaced for them?
